Kristina McCoobery co-founded INVNT in 2008 – at the height of the great recession – with the aim of shaking up the live event industry with a new kind of agency model, attitude, agency culture and results driven approach to live brand storytelling™.
She graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater, and both directed and performed On and Off Broadway. She entered the world of brand experience in her twenties and excelled at her craft, quickly rising up the ranks to become an Executive Producer by the late 1990s.
In her role as Chief Operating Officer of INVNT Kristina ensures the smooth operation and ongoing growth of the agency. She works around the clock to maintain INVNT’s high-performance culture, one where the industry’s best talent can grow and thrive, and leads the agency’s dedicated people management team. She continues to play an integral role in managing some of INVNT’s largest accounts, including SHRM, Merck, DICK’s Sporting Goods, Facebook, and Subway.
An active mentor who is passionate about ensuring young event industry professionals are equipped with the tools and resources they need to excel, Kristina heads up INVNT’s own LEAN IN CIRCLE, an initiative that is designed to support and nurture the careers of INVNT’s female employees.
Kristina has been recognized as a Female Entrepreneur of the Year at The Stevie Awards for Women in Business on two occasions. The award honors women who have affected positive change in their company and industry. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives and employees in the workplace. She has also been recognized by New York SmartCEO as one of their Brava! Awards winners for her leadership in business and philanthropy efforts.
Kristina is a proud mother dedicated to causes that enrich the lives of others. She serves on the Benefit Committee for the New York Women’s Foundation, a cross-cultural alliance of women catalyzing partnerships and leveraging human and financial capital to achieve sustained economic security and justice for women and girls. She also makes giving back a priority for INVNT. The agency supports over 10 charities, and Kristina is actively involved in all of them.
